We look forward to seeing ACC members and observers in Beijing for the 9th ACC meeting.

Purpose of the Meeting: 

To update members on ACC developments, including cohort progress and cross-cohort activities, and discuss advances in the field which further the ACC mission.  Individuals interested in attending or presenting at the meeting should contact the Coordinating Center at cc@asiacohort.org for further details.

 

Meeting Times:

  • The General ACC Membership Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 9th from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A group dinner will be held after the meeting adjourns.
  • The BMI Working Group Meeting will be held on Friday, October 10th from 8:00 AM to noon.

These times are tentative and subject to slight adjustments. To be added to the mailing list to receive changes, please email the Coordinating Center.

Transportation

Taxis are available at ground transportation.  From the Beijing Capital International Airport to the Beijing Guangxi Hotel the trip should take approximately a half hour.  Taxis are metered, however additional highway and bridge fees may apply.

 

The hotel can also be reached by bus and a brief taxi ride.  The Airport Bus No. 1 travels between the airport and Fangzhuang from 6:00 am to 7:30 pm.  Exit the bus at the 5th stop "King Wing Hot Spring International Hotel".  From this stop, it is a short taxi ride to the Beijing Guangxi Hotel.

Visa Information:

All meeting attendees will require a business visa for entry into China.  As part of the visa application requirements, meeting attendees will need to obtain a government issued letter of invitation. 

 

In order to request a letter of invitation, the following information is required:

  • Full name
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Passport number
  • Profession (Title/Position)
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Arrival and departure dates
  • CV
  • Your mailing address

The APOCP conference organizer, Mr. Jiang, will be assisting attendees with the submission of information to the Chinese Foreign Affairs Office.  To ensure that your letter of invitation will be process in time, please send this information as soon as possible directly to Mr. Jiang at jiangyong@cicams.ac.cn or at this address:

Only original letters of invitation will be accepted when submitting your visa application.  Therefore, please be sure to provide a mailing address where the original letter can be sent to you.

 

The Coordinating Center recommends submitting your visa application as soon as you receive your letter of invitation.  Please contact your local Chinese embassy or consulate for additional visa requirements.
