The purpose of this meeting is to update members on ACC developments, including cohort progress and cross-cohort activities, and discuss advances in the field which further the ACC mission.

13:00 - 22:00 Our host, Dr. CY Shen, will lead anyone interested on a tour of the Palace Museum, followed by dinner at Silks Palace and a visit to Taipei 101. We will return to hotels around 10:00 PM.

Submitting a Project Proposal:

If you would like to submit a proposal for a project that can be done in the ACC, please follow the instructions on our Working with the ACC page. Proposals that do not follow this format will be returned to the author for resubmission.

Project proposals should be emailed to the Coordinating Center by Wednesday, September 1, 2012.

Airport Transportation:

Arranging Ground Transport

Dr. Shen and his staff have generously arranged for ground transport for all ACC meeting attendees. To arrange this transport, please email this form to Mr. Lai by October 10.

How to get to Venue from the Taoyuan International Airport

Taoyuan International Airport is is located in Taoyuan County, which is approximately 40 kilometers or about 50 minutes by car or bus to downtown Taipei. It takes about an hour by car from Taoyuan International Airport to the Venue. It is easy to take public transportation from Taoyuan International Airport to Academia Sinica. Buses stations are located in the Arrival Passenger Reception Areas of both Terminals and taxis queue is outside the Arrival Halls of both terminals.

By Bus:

Take Kuokuang bus (Adult single fares NT$125) and get off at Taipei Railway Station stop. Then take Taxi to Academia Sinica (NT$300-NT$400).

By Taxi:

Take a taxi outside the airport. It costs around NT$ 1,300-1,500 to Academia Sinica.

Visa Information:

Starting from April 9,2012, Taiwan Visa applicants need to firstly access the website: https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw, fill out the visa application forms online and then to print them out. The completed forms with bar codes and other required documents should be submitted to the R.O.C.’s (Taiwan’s) overseas missions. The offline application forms will no longer be accepted.
